Just south of Santa Monica, Venice Beach offers a colorful bohemian vibe with a lively boardwalk and the best people watching in LA. Soak up the California sunshine on the sand beach and swim and surf in the Pacific Ocean. One of the most distinctive attractions in Los Angeles, Venice Beach Boardwalk is packed with funky shops, bars, restaurants, and street musicians and dancers. Enjoy cycling or skating along the coastline, play beach volleyball, or check out Muscle Beach.

  • Is there parking at Venice Beach?

    You’ll find parking for Venice Beach at the end of Venice Boulevard right on the beach. Rates range from $3 to $10 depending upon the time of year. There is also parking in private lots within walking distance with free shuttle service.
  • What can you do at Venice Beach?

    Venice Beach is an exciting destination where you can relax on the sand, swim in the ocean, fish on the Pier, and take in the action of the Boardwalk, which features funky shops, restaurants, bars and street performers. Venice Beach offers a bike path, a Muscle Beach, and volleyball, basketball, paddle tennis and handball courts.
  • Where can I eat in Venice Beach?

    Venice Beach offers great food and drink scene with local restaurants, beachside cafes, seafood eateries, food trucks, and bars. Our favorite Venice Beach restaurants include James’ Beach, High Rooftop Lounge, Simmzy’s, Hama Sushi, and Surfside Venice. Walk up to the 19th Ave Food Court for casual eats right on the Boardwalk.
  • Is Venice Beach dog friendly?

    Venice Beach offers a stretch of sand called Dog Beach, located toward the end of Venice Municipal Beach. Dogs are allowed on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, between 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sundays and holidays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. All dogs on the Boardwalk must be leashed.
